The lightweight rigid trays support the lower edge of the underlay allowing it to be cut back short of the gutter. There are two main purposes of eaves felt. Eaves guard has a 150mm rear upward projection and a 50mm drip into the gutter. It should be nailed or screwed to the top of the fascia board at 300mm spacings with an overlap of 150mm between each length.

The eaves felt will ensure the water is guided into the gutter. Properties approximately 250mm in depth. The bottom section of felt sits over the eaves guard once it has been fixed in place. If any water gets past the roof tiles the main roof felt and eaves felt will prevent it from entering the loft.
